Refunds & Exchanges

Please note we have a no refund policy here at the venue, unless the event is cancelled by us or the company. Tickets can only be exchanged (for an equal or higher value) for the same show in a run and if the value is lower, the will not be refunded . Tickets must be returned to the Box Office for any exchange to take place. Please check details on the event page before booking.

If we cancel a show a full refund will be given or we will exchange you to a different show of your choice. Any difference in value will need to be paid by the customer.

Booking Fees

On top of the ticket price we also charge a small booking fee (£1 per ticket online and via telephone and £1.50 per ticket via our onsite box office). Booking fees are exempt for groups of 20+ and school groups and are subject to change at any time. Our booking fees are there to improve the quality and sustainability of the business. They allow us to constantly improve the service and environment for our patrons as well as enabling us to bring an exciting array of cultural events and entertainment to Southport.

We no longer reserve tickets for events at the Southport Theatre or Floral Hall Ballroom, unless you are booking on behalf of a group or school booking over 20. Please be advised that when reserving a group booking the full payment must be made in full, 4 weeks after booking. If the event is taking place within 4 weeks – then the full payment must be made at the time of booking.

Prams and buggies

Although we do not have a specific buggy park, the staff are here to help you find somewhere safe for your equipment. Just ask one of our helpful front of house team.

Baby in Arms Policy

For all our children’s shows, children aged 12 months and under can sit on their parents or guardians lap for free, for children aged over 12 months usual ticket prices will apply and a seat will be allocated. Southport Theatre and Floral Hall Ballroom retains the right to exclude babies in arms for any performance if it is inappropriate and could damage other people’s experiences.

Relaxed Performances

These events are for anyone who would benefit from a more relaxed environment. Feel free to move around, make noise and leave and re-enter as necessary. These performances are great for families with younger siblings or who have Autism Spectrum Condition or a learning disability. We want everyone to feel welcome and comfortable in our surroundings so please let us know if you have any specific questions about events.

We are a breastfeeding friendly venue. Please see a member of the team if you want a quiet or private area.

We try and make our pricing policy as fair as possible. Many of our events will have lower priced tickets to make sure we are inclusive to everyone. Our family ticket is good value for money, and we try and offer value to different family groups made up of three and four in a party, each require a minimum of 1 adult.

Drunken Policy

Everyone watching a band or enjoying a show should be able to have a few tipples, however, like with dancing, please be mindful of others and remember we are unable to serve openly drunk patrons. If you are inebriated and are causing others distress or making too much noise you will be asked to leave the venue with no refund on your tickets. We appreciate your consideration towards other audience members on this.

We want everyone to enjoy a performance and understand that at a music event people will want to dance. We just ask you to be mindful of those around you.

Depending on the show, latecomers may be refused admission to events, until there is a suitable break in the performance.

Southport Theatre has a policy not to allow photography and sound/filming during our events. This is directed from the artists that we have on stage. If the artist allows filming, we will announce at the start of the show.
