Dear All,

I am writing to give you Notice of road closures taking place on Sunday 3rd February 2019, as a result of the Mad Dog 10k Race 2019.

Road closures will basically be the same as last year, and as always we will endeavour to have all Roads re-opened as soon as possible, and many roads will be opened earlier than stated on the road closure signs.

Roads to be closed:

Coastal road total closure between Weld Road and the Plough Roundabout

Esplanade

Fairways

Marshside Road (coast bound from the junction of Fylde Road)

Fleetwood Road northbound between the junction of Radnor Drive and Marshside Road

Fylde Road .(Not closed but some no parking restrictions in place)

Our main priority is to open the stretch of Coast Road between Fairways and the Promenade end of the Esplanade as soon as possible, but only once runners are clear and safe.

But, there will be extensive road closures on the morning of Sunday 3rd February, commencing from early in the morning (7:30).

I think we are aware of most of your requirements, but if you have any specific queries, please do not hesitate to contact me.

As you are no doubt aware, the Mad Dog 10k Run raises thousands of pounds for local Charities each year and only really causes disruption for a few hours on a February Sunday morning.

We would like to thank you and your members/customers most sincerely for your understanding, co-operation and assistance in helping us to make this event the enormous success that it is.

Once again, my sincere thanks for your co-operation and understanding (for the last 9 years!!)

PLEASE COME OUT AND SUPPORT THE RUNNERS IF YOU CAN! THERE ARE 3500 OF THEM!

Best regards

Adrian
